The end of 2024 is drawing closer and many of us can't believe how quick the year has passed, let alone that 2014 was a decade ago. It was the year we got make-up tips from Zoella on YouTube instead of TikTok stars, Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj collaborated on hit song Bang Bang and film Interstellar, starring Matthew McConaughey, first hit cinemas.
And when it comes to fashion - these are just some of the styles that were seen across the city centre ten years ago. As we begin a new month and edge closer to the end of the year, we've revisited our archives to find these photos from the ECHO's street style segment specifically in November 2014.
Taken across the city centre, we take a look at what people across the city were wearing during that month of the year. Primark, TopShop, Urban Outfitters and Doc Marten boots were all popular choices that month and unique, one-off items from local charity shops also proved to be popular.

Reflecting the cooler weather, black was also a popular choice, paired with various shades of grey, splashes of colour and cool accessories. It's easy to forget these trends - while some staples will never go out of fashion.
