As a beauty writer and skincare addict, it's safe to say I've tried my fair share of moisturisers. Having done my research on most ingredients out there, it's rare when something in a formula surprises me.

When I first received the Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin moisturiser, it didn't look particularly special, just a simple moisturiser in a white frosted glass jar with no discerning scent. On the front, I saw the tagline: "ultimate anti-ageing vitamin cream" and thought it was a pretty big claim. However, after using it for a week, I totally understand the thousands of five-star reviews.

The Super Healthy Skin moisturiser is a 'Swiss-mixed cocktail' of active ingredients, that the website seems reluctant to reveal to its full extent. The brand says the list is "so numerous, we'd need 20 minutes just to list them" and this sparked my interest - I also read that Holly Willoughby's makeup artist used it on the star for the NTAs so thought it was worth a try

I tried out this mysterious moisturiser for a week, on my sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin (it's certainly not easy for a moisturiser to stand up against it). After applying, my skin instantly felt cool and plumped and I loved how if I touched my skin after a few hours, it still felt like I'd just applied the product a minute ago.

With my skin being combination, I was surprised at how the Super Healthy Skin didn't feel oily, just hydrated, and after using it for a week, I feel as though my skin has become more of a normal skin type - if that's even possible. I also find my face looks more 'sculpted' which after some research might be due to the O-lift complex that helps to lift and firm the skin.

There's one ingredient, however, that I'd never seen before, being 'grape stem cells'. These regenerative cells are rich in antioxidants, and help to protect the skin from environmental damage and further ageing - I actually found out they are used in several of Beauty Pie's products which I'm now interested in trying.

Shoppers have called the cream 'addictive' and after reading the reviews, it seems to have lots of die-hard fans that stem back from the moisturiser's original formula. I noticed other people with sensitive skin say it's the 'only thing' they can use, and after only testing it for a week, I'm keen to see how my skin changes more over time.

Don't get me wrong, I've not seen any unbelievable changes and can't yet decide if it really is the 'ultimate anti-ageing cream', but if a £19 moisturiser has managed to make my skin look more lifted, hydrated, and somehow less oily in a week, it's a pretty successful one in my book.
