Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were quick to voice their dissatisfaction just moments into the latest instalment of the BBC contest, with some even turning off their TVs in annoyance.

Viewers expressed their irritation on X, previously known as Twitter, as hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were on hand to present the celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners. Judges Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, and Motsi Mabuse were also present to deliver their verdicts.

However, a key part of the show was conspicuously absent Claudia and Tess did not receive their customary grand entrance. Instead of making their usual descent from the top of the stairs, the duo were already positioned on the set when the camera cut to them.

Disgruntled fans took to X to air their complaints, with one stating: "So now Tess and Claudia don't even walk out?" While another questioned: "Who are these presenters? You'd think they'd introduce them."

One viewer lamented: "I'm really missing Tess and Claudia emerging onto stage to kick the show off," reports the Mirror.

Strictly fans all had the same complaint

Concerns about the show's timing were raised by others who commented: "Tess and Claudia are ready on the studio floor without a full introduction... Are the BBC running late? It would be great if the couples being introduced are coming down the stairs with the main Strictly theme tune."

Another added: "Why are Tess and Claudia just standing there from the beginning now? Why aren't they introduced any more? Does Alan Dedicoat not clock on until 18:24?"

Strictly Come Dancing viewers raised eyebrows after noticing a "disturbing" mistake in last weeks episode that involved the audience. Two pairs of legs, caught between blue strobe lights, were illuminated and visible throughout the entire broadcast, positioned right behind the judging panel.

This peculiar spectacle prompted an array of comments from fans, with one observing: "Rather unfortunate positioning of two lady audience members on Strictly Come Dancing tonight. Looks like the loo door has been left open."

Another shared similar sentiments: "The legs on show behind the judges were distracting!"

"It looked like it was part of the Halloween showthat these were some bizarre set decoration," another viewer remarked, while a different fan expressed irritation: "I'm glad it wasn't just me: annoyed me all evening!"

"I came here to post this too! " someone else agreed, suggesting a solution: "They really need to fill those gaps with additional up lighters so we don't have to see disembodied legs what if they did a Sharon Stone?!"

A leggy blunder had fans distracted last week

The show has already bid farewell to two participants this series, with Toyah Willcox and Olympic gold medallist Tom Dean having been voted out. There's now concern for Paul Merson amongst bookies after he found himself in the previous weeks dance-off.

Meanwhile, Nick Knowles had to skip the live show last Saturday because of a severe double injury, but is slated to return this week after taking time off to recuperate.
