Death In Paradise have revealed an exciting new project launching next month.

The creators of the popular BBC detective drama have teamed up with BBC Books for a brand new venture, Death In Paradise: The Puzzle Book. The puzzle book features no less than 150 different puzzles, transporting you to the sunnier climes of Saint Marie.

On the idyllic island of Saint Marie, fans will be tasked will solving some of the biggest murders - just like their favourite characters before them. A number of fan favourites will also make an appearance in the new book.

Will you be able to help Ralf Little's DI Neville Parker solve a crime, or would you be up to the task of dealing with the summer heat like DI Richard Poole (Ben Miller)? DI Jack Mooney - played by Ardal O'Hanlon - will need your help solving a problem, whilst DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) will no doubt be needing some assistance!

Other fan favourites also could feature including the likes of DS Naomi Thomas, Camille Bordey and Florence Cassell and, of course, the Commissioner of Saint Marie, Selwyn Patterson.

The book will be available on November 7th 2024 and will cost £14.99. There will be familiar faces, clever clues and some great brain-teasers to get your mind thinking of Saint Marie before the BBC drama returns in the New Year.

Following Ralf Little's exit from the programme, Don Gilet will be taking on the lead role as DI Mervin Wilson. Speaking about joining the show, he said: "Being offered the new lead role in Death in Paradise feels like a deeply loved and incredibly precious jewel has been placed in my hands. This is a big show, with a big heart and the love continually grows for it.

"It is my intention to never lose sight of that and to remain grateful, humbled and dedicated. Even during those testing times when every sinew is screaming at me to run off the set and dive into the sea, swimming pool or an ice-cold beer – whichever happens to be closer at the time!"

Tim Key, Executive Producer for Red Planet Pictures, added at the time: "Don is an amazing actor and we’re delighted that he’s joining us as the show enters another exciting new era. We’ve got huge plans for the new series and beyond, and I can’t wait for the audience to meet Mervin and to see what we’ve got in store."
