I'm A Celebrity 2024 lineup: First star 'confirmed' as they're seen boarding flight to Australia

by · Wales Online

I'm A Celebrity 2024 is set to kick off in just over a week, and the first celebrity participant has seemingly been confirmed today.

Danny Jones from McFly was spotted at Heathrow Airport, checking into a flight bound for Australia, ready to venture into the jungle.

He wasn't the only well-known personality present, as Joel Dommett and Sam Thompson were also seen boarding the same flight. The duo have been confirmed as hosts of this year's spin-off show - I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked.

Danny was unable to conceal his excitement, grinning broadly as he strolled through departures. The musician was also seen with a guitar strapped to his back, perhaps intending to entertain his fellow campmates if permitted to bring the instrument as his luxury item.

The 38-year-old boyband member will spend up to three weeks in the camp starting next weekend, reports the Mirror.

The full line-up has already been reported and will be officially announced by ITV in the coming days.

The camp will reportedly include Coleen Rooney, 38, wife of footballer Wayne Rooney and known for her Wagatha Christie trial with Rebekah Vardy over leaked stories about her family.

Tulisa Contostavlos, former N Dubz singer and X Factor judge, is also rumoured to be making a TV comeback on the show.

Boxing legend Barry McGuigan is reportedly set to join the show, stepping in as the sportsman in camp after Ally McCoist dropped out. Bookmakers currently favour McFly star Danny to win.

He previously won The Masked Singer and his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter clinched victory on the show back in 2011.

Loose Women panellist and journalist Jane Moore is rumoured to be part of the adventure alongside Radio 1's Dean McCulloch.

Former Love Island star Maura Higgins is reportedly set to grace yet another reality TV show with her presence, this time on I'm A Celebrity.

Joining the buzz of anticipated celebrities is TikTok sensation GK Barry, as well as ex-Strictly winner Oti Mabuse. The potential line-up also includes DJ Melvin Odoom, broadcaster Reverend Richard Coles and Corrie's Alan Halsall.

Last year's series saw ex-Made In Chelsea personality Sam Thompson take the Jungle crown, much to the delight of viewers.

Sam was spotted sharing a flight with Danny Miller and fellow TV host Joel, known from the ITV series. Like Danny, the duo seemed in high spirits, all smiles for the cameras before their journey to Australia.

Comedian Joel, 39, previously a contestant on the show in 2016, will share presenting duties for I'm A Celebrity Unpacked with Jungle royalty Sam Thompson and presenter, DJ Kemi Rodgers.

During his Tuesday appearance on Good Morning Britain, Joel revealed: "I did the extra show for three years, which I loved. I feel like I learned everything there. And then it stopped for a couple of years, and it feels like the right time to bring it back. And we're really sort of mixing it up. We're changing it a lot."

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here will kick off on November 17 at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
