Jeremy Clarkson issues major Clarkson's Farm update as announcement sends fans wild
by Hannah McGreevy, Alexandra Bullard · Wales OnlineJeremy Clarkson has ignited online excitement with the announcement that season five of his popular show Clarkson's Farm is in production.
On November 5, the renowned ex-Top Gear presenter took to Instagram to share a video with fireworks forming the number '5', revealing: "Clarkson's Farm season five is coming."
His clever caption read: "It's the 5th november... this just felt right. Clarkson's Farm S5 is officially in production." (sic)
With a massive following of 8.7 million on Instagram, fans were overjoyed by the news. The comments section was flooded with enthusiasm, as one fan exclaimed: "Best news I've heard all year." (sic)
Another fan couldn't hide their excitement, saying: "Sod the US election result. This announcement is the one! " A third fan praised the announcement, commenting: "What a way to announce S5!" (sic)
However, enthusiasts will have to wait until 2025 to see Season Four on Amazon Prime, while Season Three, which debuted on May 3, presented Jeremy with challenges like extreme heatwaves, rising costs, and planning issues.
The upcoming season promises to bring back beloved figures Lisa Hogan and Kaleb Cooper, who became stars after the first series.
Jeremy's venture into farming and his Diddly Squat Farm Shop have attracted both locals and celebrities, including David Beckham. Despite its success, the television host has encountered some resistance from his Cotswolds neighbours.
Locals residing near the farm have voiced their complaints, terming the spot a "menace" and a "danger" due to the influx of tourists causing road blockages. Opposition has also been met by Clarkson in his attempts to grow the farm shop's parking space.
Currently, the presenter is on the mend from a recent health scare, leading him to revamp his habits, including giving up alcohol, reports the Mirror.
In the earlier months of this year, Jeremy hinted at the completion of filming for the fourth season of Clarkson's Farm, while speculation about a fifth season was already making rounds.
During an interview with Times Radios Cathy Newman, he mentioned, "We're likely to wrap up filming for season 4 in a couple of weeks. After editing and translating, it should be out around May."
Adding to the anticipation, he mentioned: "Then, we'll kick off filming for season 5 shortly after."
Nonetheless, Amazon Prime had not officially slated a fifth season for Clarkson's Farm at the time.
The programme has soared in popularity on Amazon Prime, gaining acclaim from viewers and the farming community for bringing genuine agricultural challenges to light.
Jeremy Clarkson also enjoyed another win with Prime Video's The Grand Tour alongside his old Top Gear fellows James May and Richard Hammond, concluding earlier this year.
As for what viewers can anticipate from the fourth season of Clarkson's Farm, it's certain we'll see Jeremy grappling with the challenges of running his 1,000-acre farm in Chadlington, a place where he's previously had disputes with the local council.
We also foresee the return of land agent Charlie Ireland and Gerald Cooper, Kaleb's father.
Another new addition might be Jeremy's recently opened pub, The Farmer's Dog, located near Burford.
The first three seasons of Clarkson’s Farm are available to stream now, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
