The upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity is just around the corner and the list of potential contestants has been growing day by day.

Now, a former show contestant has seemingly 'confirmed' one heavily rumoured name in an unintentional slip-up.

Oti Mabuse, a former Strictly Come Dancing professional turned Dancing on Ice judge, has been widely speculated to be heading down under for the past few months.

According to former show contestant Jordan North, he's "pretty sure" Oti will be participating in the ITV series this year. During his Capital Breakfast show on Monday morning, Jordan discussed potential contestants as well as his own predictions.

He stated: "I don't have any official intel, but I've just looked at the list, and I reckon there's a good few names on there that I can guarantee are going in."

"I was working with her on Big Brother last year and I'm pretty sure."

At this point, Jordan's co-host Sian Welby interjected to ask: "Oti was originally one of the professional dancers on Strictly, wasn't she?".

"So she's not busy this year - so potentially she could do it."

Jordan participated in the show back in 2020 and made it all the way to the final, before coming in second place to Giovanna Fletcher, reports the Mirror.

Due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions, the show was not filmed in Australia for the first time in the show's history, and was instead filmed in Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Wales.

In addition to Giovanna, Jordan was accompanied by a slew of celebrities including Vernon Kay, Shane Richie and Russell Watson.

Oti made her mark in the UK when she joined Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer back in 2015. She competed on the show from series 13 to 19, winning the competition twice with Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.

Oti decided to bid farewell to the show in 2022 after seven years, although her sister Motsi Mabuse still serves as a judge on the BBC One series.

She transitioned from BBC to ITV and is currently serving as a judge on Dancing on Ice alongside fellow judges Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

I'm A Celebrity will return in November on ITV1 and ITVX.
