It appears the curtains might be closing for Strictly Come Dancing's Shayne Ward or Wynne Evans this coming weekend.

Throughout the BBC show, former X-Factor star Shayne Ward has been in the dance-off twice and has been saved by the judges each time.

However, recent figures indicate his luck could be diminishing as he's pegged by bookmakers as one of the possible next exits, sharing the odds with Wynne Evans.

Odds from BetMGM have placed Shayne at 10/11 for the upcoming vote-off, while Wynne's chances sit at 7/4, reports the Express.

Commenting on the competition, Sam Behar from BetMGM remarked: "We are starting to see the business end of Strictly Come Dancing now, and are approaching the time in the show where there is very little margin for error.

"We've seen Shayne Ward be backed to leave the show this weekend, and have odds of 10/11 for him to be the next elimination."

He continued: "We've also seen money for Wynne Evans and he's the second favourite at 7/4, so with the next celebrities at 4/1 and 8/1, it seems likely that one of Ward or Evans will dance for the final time this weekend."

During the last weekend's event, the competitors performed for the new Icons Week theme.

The audience witnessed Shayne channel the Beatles in a Quickstep and Wynne pay homage to Shirley Bassey through a Rumba to This is My Life.

Scoring 35 points for his routine, Shayne was tied in fifth place with Gladiator's Montell Douglas on the leaderboard.

Shayne earned a total of 35 points for his routine with dance partner Nancy Xu

Wynne ranked seventh on the leaderboard with a score of 30, despite impressing with his live vocals during his routine.

Both Wynne and Shayne avoided the dance-off, which saw Sam Quek and Montell Douglas compete to stay in the competition.

Ultimately, the judging panel, consisting of Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke, unanimously decided to save Montell, eliminating Sam from the contest.

Reflecting on her journey, Sam said: "I'm gutted, I just want to say thank you. I've learned so much. Strictly has just brought that spring in my step back. It's just been an absolute joy.

"Nikita, you've been key in helping me find that inner Sam that was there, who went a little bit quiet for maybe one or two years and has just come back. I'm gutted because I do feel like I still have more to give."

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6:35pm
