Strictly Come Dancing's Montell Douglas has shared the most challenging aspect of participating in the popular show.

Last week, Montell and her professional dance partner Johannes Radebe performed a Tango to One Night Only on the BBC programme, leaving fans anxious about their potential early departure.

Montell has now revealed that the toughest part of the show isn't what one might expect. She confessed that wearing high heels for performances and rehearsals is the most difficult for her.

"It's really tricky because I'm just not used to it. You have to think choreography, dance and perform, where literally I'm holding on with my toes! I'm used to trainers, I live in them for the whole of my life. It's just finding the balance on these size 10 boots," she explained.

Fans were worried for Montell and Johannes last weekend, fearing a new 'curse' was imminent. One fan expressed their concern about the pair being the first to perform and potentially struggling with votes, writing: "#strictly I love Montell and Johannes but I am worried for them tonight."

Another added: "Had to give all three of my votes to Montell and Johannes though! Feel so nervous for them as I felt they were slightly undermarked and also have the disadvantage of going first! #Strictly."

Toyah and Neil were the ones to bid farewell to the show this past weekend, and with another duo poised to depart this coming weekend, speculation is rife about whether the new 'curse' will claim more victims. The contestants are gearing up with fresh routines they hope will secure their place in the contest for another week, reports Birmingham Live.

Montell has shared her battle with stilletos, expressing the "pain" she endures with each performance.

Speaking to The Mirror, she revealed: "The hardest thing is not the routine - it's the shoes! It's doing it in a shoe that wants to break your foot. The shoe is designed to give you pain, which she does very well actually. Especially because I'm just not used to it. I'm living in high heels. It's like a night out where you have to keep your heels on all night. That's what it feels like."
