Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz were planning 2025 wedding before shock split: Here’s what we know

Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz had planned to walk down the aisle next year until their relationship came to an abrupt halt last week.

The couple — first linked in 2021 — ended their engagement over the weekend, but just months ago, the “Big Little Lies” actress’ father, Lenny Kravitz, was dishing details about their 2025 nuptials.

Lenny Kravitz loved Channing Tatum like a son:

The “American Woman” rocker, 60, was close with his daughter’s fiancé and regularly gushed about their bromance — but made one fatal error when he disclosed their wedding plans.

“He’s a really great guy,” Lenny told the British radio show “Zoe Ball and Friends” about Channing in May. “He was raised well. So, you know, he’s got manners. He’s charming. He’s a soulful human being. And so, he’s become part of the family quite quickly.

During the interview, the frontman also let it split when Zoë and the “Magic Mike” actor planned to tie the knot.

Lenny continued showing Channing love, saying, “He fits and they’re in love. We’re going to have a wedding next year.”

Lenny Kravitz wasn’t going to perform on his daughter’s special day:

Despite his excitement, the “Fly Away” singer revealed he wouldn’t be taking the stage to serenade the wedding guests.

When asked if he would perform or DJ at the reception, Lenny replied, “I don’t think so. (I’ll) just be hanging out.”

Zoë Kravitz laughed off her dad’s remarks:

After Lenny disclosed the wedding details, his daughter went into damage control mode and backpedaled on the 2025 date.

While speaking to Esquire for an interview published in Aug., the reporter noted that Zoë rolled her eyes “in mock annoyance” when they brought up her father’s comments.

“It’s literally something we’ve said in passing,” she told the outlet. “Like, maybe I said, ‘Next year would be cool.’”

However, wedding plans came crashing down months later.

What caused Channing and Zoë’s split?

Channing and Zoë allegedly broke up “last weekend,” ending their three-year relationship after being engaged just one year.

“They haven’t been on the same page and grew apart,” an insider told People.

Another source claimed that wedding planning had put too much pressure on their relationship.

“Wedding plans were looming, but neither of them were rushing to the altar,” a source close to Tatum told Us Weekly on Wednesday.

“Zoë is a very independent person. After her divorce, she expressed that she didn’t necessarily need to get married again,” they explained.

Was “Blink Twice” to blame?

The insider also claimed that their romance “fizzled” after the press tour for Zoë’s directorial debut, “Blink Twice,” which Channing stars as the lead.

“She and Channing are opposites, but they always bonded over their love for art and film, and that is what held them together. They realized long-term that it wasn’t going to work out,” the insider claimed, adding that Channing is a “family man” and “very involved with his daughter,” while Zoë’s priority is “her career.”

“They were looking at the long-term bigger picture and realized they may not be a good match,” the source says. “There is still a lot of love between them, and [the split] was amicable.”

Would have been the second wedding for both:

This would have been wedding no. 2 for both Channing and Zoë.

He married Jenna Dewan in 2009. The pair announced their separation in April 2018 but didn’t finalize their divorce until last month. They share one child: daughter Everly, 11.

Zoë said “I do” to actor Karl Glusman in 2019, but she filed for divorce 18 months later.

While neither Channing nor Zoë have commented on the split, the “Big Little Lies” actress has already ditched her engagement ring. In photos obtained by The Post taken on Wednesday, Zoë was spotted for the first time since the breakup — and was missing one noticeable accessory.
