Update on Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz’s breakup: Not only are the exes about to film a new movie together (truly can’t imagine anything more awkward), they’re still speaking regularly.

A source tells Page Six that Channing and Zoë have “been in touch,” there’s “no bad blood,” and “they really just grew apart and decided it was best for them to go their separate ways.”

The insider also claims that the pair “both handled the breakup very maturely,” and “came to a mutual realization that they were better off friends than romantic partners.” Meanwhile, Zoë has “been in good spirits” amidst the split, “though pals say she’s has a lot on her mind.”

As for why the couple parted ways, an Us Weekly source spilled on the breakup last week, saying things “fizzled” after the Blink Twice press tour.

“Ultimately once the project ended, they realized they were on different pages with what they wanted,” the source said. “It fizzled fast after their press tour wrapped. Zoë is a very independent person. After her divorce, she expressed that she didn’t necessarily need to get married again. She and Channing are opposites, but they always bonded over their love for art and film, and that is what held them together. They realized long-term that it wasn’t going to work out. They were looking at the long-term bigger picture and realized they may not be a good match.”
