Chappell Roan Pulls Out of All Things Go Music Festival to Prioritize Her Health

Chappell Roan has had one hell of a year—her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's 200 chart, she's drawn in massive record-breaking crowds at music festivals like Governor's Ball and Lollapalooza, and she just won her first VMA for Best New Artist earlier this month.

Of course, Chappell is still performing and teaching crowds how to do her "HOT TO GO!" choreography on tour. After a slew of shows in Europe, she was even set to headline the All Things Go music festival in Washington DC and New York City—but she updated fans that she's pulled out to prioritize her well-being.

"I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform. Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it," she wrote on her Instagram Stories on September 27.

She continued, "I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding ♡ Be back soon xox."

All Things Go also released a statement in support of the superstar, writing, "We're heartbroken to announce that Chappell Roan will no longer be performing at this year's festivals. While we know how much you were looking forward to the performances, it's important to remember that health and well-being always comes first."

The festival's organizers added, "All Things Go strongly supports artists prioritizing their well-being and we ask our community to rally around Chappell Roan with love and understanding. Let's continue to show the world that music fans support not just the art, but the artists themselves."

The news comes several months after the Midwest Princess got candid about her meteoric rise to fame during her Raleigh, North Carolina concert on June 12. She opened up to the crowd during her performance, saying, "I just want to be honest with the crowd. I feel a little off today, because I think my career is going really fast and it's hard to keep up. I'm just being honest; I'm having a hard time today."

"I'm not trying to give you a lesser show," she added. "Thank you for understanding. This is all I've ever wanted."
