Strictly fans are convinced that Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell will bag a 'perfect score' tonight, as they perform their Couple's Choice.

As the BBC dance competition enters its eighth week, the comedian and pro dancer Dianne are one of 10 couples remaining, after Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin were eliminated last Sunday. This week, Chris, 47, and Dianne, 35, will dance to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon, as they take on the other couples to remain in the running for the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

But fans are already speculating on what the pair might score, with Reddit users convinced they know how the voting will go. One Strictly devotee asked on the social media platform: "Do you think Chris can finally score a 10 tomorrow with his couples choice?"

Someone replied: "Shirley (and maybe Anton) probably will. They don’t really know how to score couples choices properly so they usually go high." A third expert added: "More than likely. Couple's Choice seems an automatic 9 or 10 unless someone is really dire."

One cynical fan wrote: "If its contemporary about his blindness, he'll get 4 10s."

Chris lost his sight at the age of 22 due to a hereditary condition called retinitis pigmentosa, which causes the cells in the retina to degenerate. The rare eye disease gradually diminishes the retina’s function, leading to a slow loss of sight. He previously told i News: "My grandmother had it, and my mum. Basically, I’d been going blind very slowly since I was born, and so didn’t even really notice it happening."

Meanwhile, on Thursday's It Takes Two, host Janette Manrara didn't hold back as she pointed out: "Chris, despite being both a ballroom fan and a KISS fan you ended up joint second from the bottom of the leaderboard!"

Comedian Chris, who is the first ever blind contestant on the show, replied: "Alright, easy Janette! That's a bit..." with Janette quickly explaining: "I was gutted as I was so looking forward to it but the scores didn't reflect that!"

He then admitted: "You know what, I've got no idea whether what I do is good or not I have to be told, don't I? So we did the Samba the week before, we were bottom, and that was hard, it was technical. The Tango, I think I carried a lot of pressure over but those first five shows we did, there was a lot of joy in them. There were a lot of moments, wow moments, we surprised people, we surprised ourselves.

"Then we've had two really technical weeks. The Tango, you can't even smile in it, you've got to look like you'd rather be doing anything else but the Tango! Joint second from the bottom? The competition is hard, I'm just a fella who sits on a stool for a living!" Chris' dance partner, Dianne, was quick to make an emotional admission about the comedian as she admitted he's "so tough on himself".
