Singer Kesha was praised by fans after she updated the lyrics about P. Diddy in her famous track Tik Tok.

The We R Who We R singer, 37, took to her social media to share a clip of her and her friends lipsyncing to the new version of her song. The original lyrics from the 2010 track were: "Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy/ Grab my glasses; I'm out the door, I'm gonna hit this city."

She changed them to: "Wake up in the morning like f**k P. Diddy." In the clip, she and her friends held up their middle fingers as they showcased the brand-new version to fans. She ended the video by blowing a kiss to her fans while her friends continued dancing in the background.

Fans were obsessed with the change and took to the comment section to compliment her, with one user writing: "I like this version better." Another said: "Hey, Kesha. babe can we get this version put on Spotify please because this is one of my favourite songs." One praised her and added: "Mother is correcting and teaching." One commented: "This just is PERFECT and correct."

It comes as music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested and charged with federal racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution charges earlier this week. On Tuesday, he appeared in Manhattan federal court and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

He was denied bail and remains in jail while awaiting trial. Kesha first sang the changed lyrics when she showed up as a surprise guest during Reneé Rapp's Coachella performance in April. She also repeated the lyrics change in the caption of her post as she shared the performance on her Instagram page.

In August, she confirmed the lyrics change in a post shared on Twitter. Along with a picture of the cover art, Kesha wrote: "TiK ToK was the first single that I put into this world that had my voice AND my name credited!!!! I remember making it fun and happy because that’s how I felt and wanted others to feel.

"What I’m so proud of is that’s how this song STILL makes me feel, through it all, and those are emotions I want all of us to connect to. 15 (!!!!!!) years later, I see this song as a snapshot into the way I saw the world at the time. That girl was naive and wild and playful. This song eternalizes a side of myself that I love very much, and now see I have to protect fiercely. The world has changed so much and so have I.

"I absolutely love the new lyric change. (Shout out to @reneerapp) Yes it is permanent. I will re-record it when I have legal rights to! Now, my first baby stands for so much. It stands for fiercely protecting my fun and unadulterated joy, in myself and in others. The whole ride has been absolute insanity, but the JOY is still riding. I hope you all can find 3 1/2 minutes of play in this song and connect with your wild child-like joy."
