Cat Deeley’s This Morning outfits have quickly become our go-to for some daily fashion inspiration, and the presenter continues to nail seasonal dressing with her latest wardrobe choice. Cat appeared on Wednesday 18 September episode wearing a gorgeous abstract print mini dress, and it was an instant hit.

Cat wore the Mint Velvet Mini Navy Abstract Print Cotton Dress, £130, to host Wednesday's show, and the printed mini dress is the perfect pick for officewear as we head into autumn. The dress is great for making a statement without being overpowering, with a navy and white abstract print that pairs well with anything.

Although Cat chose to style the dress with bare legs and some strappy heels, the dress is versatile enough to be worn in a multitude of ways. Wear with a pair of tights and some loafers and a blazer, with a pair of knee high boots and a cosy coat, or even with a pair of trainers and a bomber jacket for a more casual vibe.

The navy and white colour scheme also makes it easy to mix with other colours, from other neutrals like beige, cream and chocolate brown, to bolder colours like red, pink and green. It also has a flattering silhouette that’s both timeless and modern.

The crew neckline, long sleeves and relaxed shape give it a more laid-back feel that lets you wear it during the day without feeling too overdressed, but it has subtle details that give it a little pizzazz if you want to wear it for more special occasions or for an evening out, with a ruffle hemline and exaggerated puff sleeves giving it a little drama.

The dress is currently available in sizes 8, 10, 14, 16 and 18 on the Next website, or if you head directly to the Mint Velvet website you can pick it up in all sizes from a UK6 to an 18.

If you prefer a slightly more boho vibe – a trend that’s already proving very popualr this autumn – then Nobody’s Child also has a similar mini dress that offers a more floaty, laidback look. The Black Ditsy Floral Long Sleeve Starlight Mini Dress, £79, has a similar silhouette with long voluminous sleeves and an A-line fit which skims over your body.

However rather than the classic crew neckline, it has a V-neck and fastens with covered buttons down the front, giving it a feminine look, and is covered with a dainty floral print. It also has a panelled waist which helps accentuate your figure and gives the dress a little more definition, making it incredibly flattering.
