by Joel Leaver · The MirrorEdward Grimes has been left "really shaken" after having his phone "stolen" whilst in a shop, with the Jedward star sharing the sad news with fans on social media.
The singer, 33 - who is one half of duo Jedward with his twin John Grimes, also 33 - made the remarks in a post on the siblings' joint Instagram account on Wednesday evening. Edward first posted a message for their followers on their Instagram Story and he then later issued an update.
He wrote in the first post: "Hi it's Edward. Someone has stolen my phone so if anyone's trying to get in contact with me, don't be worried as I'm just really shaken right now!" He added: "My whole life is on there. I'm just really thankful to have John now but I won't be able to be contacted."
Fans were later given an update, with a subsequent post uploaded to the twins' joint account around an hour later. It read: "Update: The shop where I was robbed have the two criminal thieves on camera hopefully we can get them arrested and justice will be served and we'll crack down this phone stealing ring in London. My heart dropped! Thanks for your kind messages."
There has yet to be any further update from Edward, who rose to fame alongside John on the X Factor in 2009. The twins - known collectively as Jedward - later represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 and have appeared on shows like Celebrity Big Brother in the decade since then.
Over the course of their career, the duo have released four studio albums together, starting with their debut Planet Jedward in 2010. Jedward's most recent studio album, titled Voice of a Rebel, was released five years ago. They have released numerous singles since appearing on the X Factor. Their medley Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) and subsequent single Lipstick, among others, topped the charts in Ireland upon their release.
Jedward teased just a week ago in the comments section of a post referencing the transition from Halloween to Christmas that they could release new music soon. They asked fans: "Who wants a Jedward Christmas song?" The suggestion prompted excitement among fans, with one writing: "Yes pls definitely." Another said: "Duh." A third commented: "I do."
