When you're married to someone, you've said that you'll stick by that person in sickness and in health, until the day that you die - so you'd anticipate that you know everything about them and they're not keeping any secrets from you. But one woman was left heartbroken after she realised her husband was hiding the most horrific thing from her - and it all became apparent with a Father's Day card.

The woman, named only as 'Belinda', told the parenting website Kidspot that after years of marriage, she had made a staggering discovery that had changed her life - and not in a good way. The woman shared how she was looking for her next book to read, and when she opened one she'd chosen, her husband's double life was well and truly exposed - with a Father's Day card. She said that her husband Eddie worked away a lot and would be home for six days then gone for eight. The arrangement was a challenge with two young daughters to raise - but Belinda never suspected her husband was playing away, choosing to trust him, describing them as "still in love."

Inside a Father's Day card in a child's handwriting, it read: "To Daddy, happy Father's Day, love from Nate." When she saw it, Belinda hoped it was a book borrowed from a friend, but said "my gut told me I needed to investigate", so when her husband came home, she questioned him about Nate. Devastatingly, "Eddie's face crumbled as he confessed to the whole sorry mess, and it was even worse than I thought." Belinda assumed that he must be hiding a lovechild from her but it turned out to be a far worse situation, adding: "It turned out I was the affair."

He came clean about the horribly sticky situation, sharing he had been with a woman called Natasha for 10 years and was juggling the two partners in different cities. Then Belinda's cheating husband then decided he needed to make a go of things with his partner, promised their daughters would be looked after, and left - leaving her "devastated." She finished the post by sharing that she'd taken the decision to contact his partner Natasha on Facebook and sent her a snap of her husband's secret family "so she understood what sort of man she is living with."
