Peter Andre has made a candid revelation about his fears of a war brewing, taking to his New! column to admit that the events around the world have put things into perspective for him. The singer, who was born to Greek Cypriot parents, said: "We’re living in a very, very scary time with the wars that are currently raging around the world. It’s getting to the point now where it feels like we’re on the brink of World War Three and no one knows where this is going."

Continuing the mental impact it's had on him, Peter shared: "My brother lives in Cyprus and I am seeing war planes fly over Cyprus on the news. It’s putting things in perspective for me a little, being so focused on the little things when there are far bigger, more pressing issues going on. All we can do is pray for a resolution."

Peter's worry comes as world leaders are on tenterhooks as they await Israel's response to an unprecedented missile attack by Iran, with many sharing fears of a world war.

Elsewhere in his column, Peter also shared a candid admission about his mental health as he looked back on having a breakdown in the 1990s. While praising James Middleton for recently speaking out about his depression, Peter looked back on his own experience with mental health.

He said: "James Middleton has been open about his battle with mental health and depression recently, which I really respect. I think it’s so important for men to be able to talk about their feelings and struggles.

"People find it hard to believe that you can be a royal or a billionaire but struggle mentally. But having money doesn’t fix your mental health. I always encourage all my kids to be open about how they feel. All the time I’ll say, “Do you want to sit and talk about anything?”

Reflecting on his own experience, Peter said: "I remember having my first breakdown in the 90s and the years that followed were horrific. I felt like I couldn’t talk to anyone because it was taboo. Back then, you’d go to a doctor and sometimes they wouldn’t know what to do. I never want my kids to experience that."

Peter shares three children with his wife Emily MacDonagh; Amelia, Theo and Arabella, and two children with his ex-wife Katie Price; Junior, 19, and Princess, 17.
