A Place in the Sun buyers forced to abandon ‘perfect’ home after major problem

A Place in the Sun star Jasmine Harman was on hand to help a couple find their dream property in the sun during a recent episode of the Channel 4 hit show

A Place in the Sun buyers halted a viewing after spotting a major flaw in what they described as ‘perfect’ Greece holiday home.

During Thursday’s episode of the Channel 4 hit show, Jasmine Harman was on hand to help builder Mark and financial planner Sally find their dream property in the sun.

The search took place in Greece's eastern Peloponnese and the duo had a budget of £200,000 for a property walking distance to local bars and restaurants and they didn’t want to be too remote.

The couple, who met 14 years ago at a runner club, insisted that the location was key to them and being close to the sea was very important to them and it had to have plenty of space for when any of their six children come to visit.

Pulling out all the stops, Jasmine set up five potential homes for the pair and made sure they included some of their requests.

The search got off to a strong start as they fell in love with one property that had two bedrooms and a large living and dining area, which meant there was plenty of space for their family to visit.

To make this even better the property was below their budget with it being on the market for £148,500, however, the couple were quick to spot a major issue.

Sally admitted that she was ‘disappointed’ with the view as she said: “I can see this working but I am struggling with a white shed in front of me.” Meanwhile, Mark insisted that it was a bit too far from the sea than they would like.
