Prince Louis' hilarious five-word reaction when big sister Princess Charlotte given gift

William and Kate's youngest child Louis has a very sweet relationship with big sister Charlotte, which was clear when they enjoyed a secret outing with their proud mum

Prince William and Princess Kate's three children have a very close bond - and it's clear that little Louis really looks up to his big sister Charlotte.

The sweet relationship between the two siblings was apparent when Princess Kate took Charlotte and Louis to Elstree Studios in December 2023 for a secret visit behind the scenes of the hit BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Head judge Shirley Ballas later spoke about the royal outing and shared a sweet anecdote about little Louis and Charlotte. "They are beautiful. When they visited we had these crowns on set, so I thought it would be a nice idea to give the little girl a crown and I got him a nice box of sweets," Shirley told the Sun . But cheeky Louis had a special request. "Then he went, 'I want one of those' and pointed at the crown.

"So, we had to go and find him a little crown. They're beautifully polite children. They had an absolute ball." She continued: "We have photos, but I didn't want to post them. I think it's more private for her. I was just glad she was able to come in and have a great day. They all watch Strictly."

It's not the first time Louis has tried to copy his sister. Prince William previously shared that young Louis has developed a habit of taking his sister Princess Charlotte's jewellery . And the father-of-three has also revealed that Louis follows his sister around in the mornings .

"One of the songs that the children are loving at the moment is Shakira, Waka Waka. There's a lot of hip movements going along. There's a lot of dressing up," he said. "Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything. She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing."

Charlotte and Louis have always shared a special connection. In a photo released by William and Kate for Charlotte's third birthday, she's pictured cradling a baby Louis in her lap and placing a sweet kiss on her sleeping brother's head. The young princess also doted on her baby brother in portraits from Louis' christening in 2018. While everyone else looks at the camera and smiles, the proud big sister is focused only on Louis as she lovingly gazes at him and holds his hand.

As they have got older, Princess Charlotte has taken on an increasingly protective role. She is often seen looking out for little Louis - and correcting his behaviour - on official royal outings, most recently at the 2024 Trooping the Colour. Body language expert Judi James told the Mirror at the time: "As Kate and her three children watched from the open window, it was Kate standing at the back of the group while Charlotte beamed down with an expression of pride, even appearing to mutter to Louis to ensure he stood to attention as she did while the National Anthem was being played."

During the ceremony, Louis was spotted playing around with the blind cords by the window instead of looking on. He was also seen yawning and dancing , jigging his hips from side to side and causing his mum Kate to laugh. The BBC commentator chuckled as the comical moment aired live on television: "He's enjoying boogieing along to that."
