Janey Godley has slammed Father Ted creator over tweet as she said to "keep my name out".

The comedian shared a response to Graham Lineham online as he posted a message about Janey receiving end of life care. He wrote: "I understand Janey Godley is in palliative care. I'm obviously not a fan of her stance on The Issue but I hope her doctors are able to keep her comfortable and, if there's the slightest chance, get her through this."

She then replied: "You sent your hounds after me continuously throughout my cancer care. I will keep supporting transpeople as long as I can -keep my name out please." The pair have been feuding online due to their differing views on trans rights.

Janey hit back at the tweet

Janey recently revealed that she was receiving palliative care. The 63-year-old was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021, and after announcing she had been given the all-clear a year later, the cancer returned.

She cancelled her comedy tour, called Why Is She Still Here?, earlier this month after doctors advised her to stop work "for the foreseeable future" after they discovered her terminal cancer had spread. Janey has been in hospital while recovering from sepsis, and on Wednesday, she gave fans a devastating update.

"I’m now at end of life care - palliative care-and will be going into a hospice for the foreseeable - thanks to everyone who sends me love and support- you’ve been amazing," she captioned a video on Twitter/X. In the clip, she thanked the NHS, and the team of nurses and doctors who have cared for her over the last two weeks.

"So I’m now in palliative care and I’m at end-of-life care now in the hospital. The chemo ran out of options and I just couldn’t take any more of it and the cancer has spread. So it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it and it’s really difficult to speak about this and say to people," Janey shared. "It is devastating news to know that I’m facing end-of-life but we all come to an end sometime. I want to thank everybody for supporting the family, especially [her daughter] Ashley and my husband."

Janey added: "The overwhelming support has been amazing, and I don’t know how long I’ve got left before anybody asks. I’m not a TikTok. So I just want you to know that I appreciate all the love you’ve gave me and all the support. Cancer affects two in one people, and it’s affected me."
