Kate Winslet has shared a touching insight into her family's reaction to her iconic film 'Titanic', revealing that her youngest son, Bear, was moved to tears when he watched the 1997 blockbuster for the first time in 2023.

The acclaimed actress, who starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, told E! News: "My youngest has seen 'Titanic', he saw it last year. He cried a lot, and he kept having to pause it, and he was very upset."

In contrast, Kate's older children, Mia and Joe, have a different cinematic preference. The star disclosed: "My older two, who are nearly 24 and 21 they love 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'. Yeah, that's a big favourite for them."

Reflecting on the aftermath of 'Titanic', Winslet opened up about the darker side of fame following the movie's release.

She recounted to PORTER magazine how she found the sudden surge of attention challenging, saying: "Journalists would always say, 'After 'Titanic', you could have done anything and yet you choose to do these small things' ... and I was like, 'Yeah, you bet your life I did! Because, guess what, being famous was horrible.'".

However, with time, Kate has come to terms with the spotlight, expressing that she no longer sees fame as a "burden".

The 'Mare of Easttown' star, known for shunning blockbuster roles post-'Titanic' for period dramas, has expressed: "It's not a burden, any of it. ['Titanic'] continues to bring people huge amounts of joy. The only time I am like, 'Oh god, hide', is if we are on a boat somewhere."
