Kate Middleton and Prince William's secret home absolutely no one knows about

The Prince and Princess have three homes in England - at Kensington Palace, Anmer Hall and Adelaide Cottage. But they also have another royal residence that hardly anyone knows about

The Prince and Princess of Wales had a secret hideaway that is the perfect country retreat for their family - and yet it is largely unknown.

The Llwynywermod Estate is located on the outskirts of Myddfai and it includes three cottages, a Grade-II listed barn and a main house all surrounded by 192 acres of Welsh countryside.

It was bought in 2007 for £1.2m by the Duchy of Cornwall estate on behalf of King Charles, who had reportedly spent 40 years searching for the right property.

But once Charles acceded the throne, the Duchy and all its assets immediately passed to his eldest son Prince William - including Llwynwermod.

According to Wales Online, Charles and Camilla would quite often stay at Llwynywermod, most notably around St David's Day, when the then-Prince would have a packed schedule of duties around Wales.

The royal couple also spent some time there in April 2021 in the days and weeks after the death of Prince Philip, Charles' beloved father.

Residents in the village of Myddfai spoke glowingly of Charles, noting how he would attend church services on Sunday mornings with the minimum of fuss, how he donated prizes for local raffles, and also officially opened the new village hall.

Locals might see less of Charles and Camilla now that the Duchy has passed on - but they might instead enjoy visits from the Wales family. William and Kate have three homes in England - Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace; Anmer Hall and Adelaide Cottage.

They have never owned a property in Wales, but they did spend three years renting a home in Anglesey in north Wales when William was stationed as a search and rescue helicopter pilot between 2010 and 2013.

Kensington Palace acted as the couple's primary residence until 2022 when the couple moved out of London - but it is still used whenever they have work commitments in the capital.

Anmer Hall, meanwhile, is the family's home in Norfolk, where they can retreat away from the public gaze. While Adelaide Cottage is their primary residence, William, Kate and their children will head to Anmer as soon as school breaks up for half-term or other holidays, to enjoy private time in the countryside.

The Hall has been home to the couple ever since 2013 when they received the property as a belated wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth. They were still living at Kensington Palace in London at the time but Anmer Hall was conveniently located whenever they might want to visit the Queen and Prince Philip at Sandringham, since it is also part of the royal estate.

But the family primarily reside in the pink house at Adelaide Cottage, which sits on the grounds of Windsor Home Park, the 655-acre estate that is part of the private grounds of Windsor Castle.

The 19th century, four bedroom property is located just 15 minutes away from Lambrook School, where all three Wales children are day students. And it also allows the family to be closer to Princess Catherine's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, who live at Bucklebury Manor in Berkshire.
