Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri proudly shared with fans her cochlear implant which aides her ability to hear.

The 26 year old reality TV star, who became a household name when she appeared on Love Island in 2022, shared a side profile of herself on social media. The single choclear implant, which was fitted to the side of Tasha's head just before her fifth birthday, was embellished with sparkles.

Considering her outfits for the live shows are decorated with diamantes and sequins, the implant is nothing short of complimentary. The device enables Tasha - who has sparked a heated 'fix' debate due to her dance background - to hear by electrically stimulating her auditory nerve. She accompanied the picture with a post that read: "woke up feeling such joy @bbcstrictly my first live show complete!

"I am still speechless, sure did feel emotional but was such a surreal feeling what an honour to do it with you @aljazskorjanec ! We went out there and danced like no one was watching, core memory I’ll remember forever. Thank you for being a great teacher and just fabulous.. GET IN!."

And her fans were quick to comment on her post-show post. One person said: "IM STILL LIKE PINCH ME CAUSE THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE?!!! Who’s excited for next week because I am!" Another person said: "Thank you so much for all of your support - seeing your lovely comments and messages is making my heart so full, thank you #teamaljtash."

Can't wait to see what's next x." Training for the live shows, celebrities are having to rehearse with their professional dance partners for up to ten hours a day.Ahead of her first live show, the reality TV star opened up on "concentration fatigue" with her Aljaz Skorjanec.

When asked by Aljaz if she had found training for the BBC show a struggle, she said: "I think when you grow up with deafness you learn how to adapt. I can suffer from concentration fatigue from lip reading all day. There may be times when I have a power nap for ten to 20 minutes just to get myself back and re-energised."

She added: "I would love to take my cochlear implant out to really feel the music. Feel the vibrations. To feel ‘ok this is how it’s going to feel on Saturday night." In a bid to get her used to the sound a vibration of the music, Aljaz suggested they head to the BBC studios to practice with the live band, ahead of their performance. And it seemed to work wonders as the pair scored 30 points out of 40 for their Cha Cha, which was performed to Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso. She said: "It felt like just you and me on that dance floor."
