Kerry Katona has revealed that she was victim to a public robbery this week while staying in an upmarket Mayfair hotel with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney, with the star having thousands of pounds worth of items taken.

The mother-of-five took to her New! Magazine column to explain: "I was robbed in London while staying in a hotel in Mayfair last week – I couldn’t believe it, I have the worst luck. Ryan and I were checking in to the hotel, which I won’t name, and since our room wasn’t ready we left our bags with the concierge and grabbed some lunch.

"I left my Gucci holdall with them which had all my medication in it for my back and chronic pain, the phone I use for my banking apps, my earphones and much more. I did notice a man who was acting strangely in the hotel lobby while we were there but I don’t like to judge people, so didn’t think anything of it. However, later the hotel said my bag was missing and after checking the CCTV, we saw him take it once Ryan and I had left."

Gucci duffle bags cost upwards of £1,200, before factoring in the contents of Kerry's bag. But the emotional impact was greater than the physical loss, says Kerry: "It was so triggering for me and I did feel emotional afterwards, it’s just so scary to think you’re not safe.

"Thankfully, Ryan and I are OK and things can be replaced, it’s just frustrating and scary. I don’t understand how people can wake up and decide to do these things, it’s awful. When things like this happen it makes me scared to go out as I don’t want to be targeted."

This incident c omes after Kerry's recent admission that she's set to go under the knife again for a facelift, after being inspired by pal Katie Price's recent facelift. The pair are set to star in a production of Cinderella this December in the role of the 'wicked step-sisters', with Kerry sharing last week that she refused to be the 'ugly sister' beside Katie.

However, Kerry has now explained that she's going to hold off on the procedure until next year, getting the pantomime out of the way first. She said in her column this week: "I’ve got panto in December, where Katie Price and I are starring in Cinderella, so I’m not going to have it done until next year."
