Big Brother 'curse' sees 'fate sealed' for first housemate evictee

Big Brother fans are convinced that the television curse is set to strike once again as they predict that one housemate will be the very first to exit the house

Big Brother's infamous curse suggests that Rosie Williams, also known as Baked Potato, could be the first to exit the house. After a series of nail-biting games, it was unveiled that Rosie would be up against Dean Smith, Nathan King and Ryan Bradshaw in the public vote set for Friday (11 October).

Regrettably, as the only female at risk in the ITV series, the odds are not in Rosie's favour. Tragically, in the 21 civilian series history, a woman has been the first to leave an astonishing 20 times. The sole exception to this rule was Marco Pierre White Jr, son of famed chef Marco Pierre White, who was the first to be evicted in 2011, but he remains a rarity.

Rosie, a dental nurse hailing from Cornwall, had to compete against Thomas Atkinson in a daring game. To demonstrate their competitive spirit, the duo faced tasks that increased in difficulty.

Rosie took on nearly all the dares, from being dubbed Baked Potato for the rest of her stay in the Big Brother house to having her meals blended. However, Rosie couldn't complete the final dare - she would have to tell any future eviction nominees her decision face-to-face rather than privately.

Thomas won the game of dares after Rosie refused the final one

Meanwhile, Thomas, who sported a bucket on his head, shaved off one of his eyebrows, and destroyed personal photos of the other contestants, emerged victorious from the challenge. Viewers were less than pleased with the challenge, particularly the part where Rosie had to eat a.

One viewer questioned: "Am I watching Big Brother 2023 fast food task, I'm a celeb or something else? " Another chimed in: "This dare is giving I'm a celeb drinking trial".

It seems this sentiment was echoed by many, with another fan remarking: "When did big brother turn into I'm a celeb?". The trend of women being the first to leave the series dates back to the very first series when Sada Walkington was evicted. In the second series, Penny Ellis was the first to go, followed by

in the third series.

In the latest series, rebooted by ITV, Farida Khalifa was forced to leave. This year, viewers are voting to evict, rather than to save, with the first live eviction taking place on Friday (11 October).
