ITV This Morning fans do double take over Dermot O'Leary's unrecognisable makeover
This Morning got off to a spooky start on Thursday for the ITV chat show's Halloween special with Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond dressing up for the occasion

During the latest instalment, the ITV chat show got off to a spooky start as part of a Halloween special with Dermot, 51, Alison Hammond, as well as other stars Gyles Brandreth and Sam Thompson, undergoing costume transformations.
And it was Dermot's Halloween makeover that left viewers doing a double take as he transformed into Frankenstein for the spooky special. The presenter was covered in green paint and donned a black wig, prosthetics and a spooky outfit.
Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Took me a while to realise that was Dermot #ThisMorning", a different account wrote: "Dermot looks brilliant #thismorning", another penned: "Dermot looks fantastic! #thismorning" while a different This Morning fan commented: "I didn’t realise that was Dermot to begin with! #ThisMorning".
Talking about his makeover, Alison said: "You look amazing, you look so so good!" to which Dermot joked: "It's almost worth the fact we had to come in at 5am this morning" to which Alison pointed out: "You came in at 6am! I'm very impressed, you look great, when exactly are you getting ready?"
Dermot also pointed out the heeled boots he had to wear, joking to Alison it was the first time that he was taller than her on This Morning. As part of the spooky episode, the two presenters interviewed a real-life exorcist, Sam attempted a World Record attempt while Phil Vickery rustled up some spooky food in the kitchen.
It comes as This Morning was pulled off air on Wednesday as it finished at the earlier time of 12:15pm. During the instalment, instead of finishing at 12:30pm, the show finished at 12:15pm as host Dermot announced the news. He said: "That's it from us, finishing a little bit earlier today for an ITV news special."
The schedule change also impacted Loose Women as the episode was pulled off air to make way for the ITV news special which was reporting on the The Chancellor's Budget 2024.
Meanwhile, This Morning's regular hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley are taking a brief break from their hosting duties over the October half-term with Friday hosts Alison and Dermot stepping in to present for the week, which so far has featured special Halloween segments.
This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on both ITV and ITV X while Loose Women follows at 12:30pm.
