Amanda Abbington is reportedly seeking daily legal "guidance" after the Strictly Come Dancing bullying probe outcome.

The 'Sherlock' star, 50, has sent shockwaves through the BBC's hit show by alleging her dance partner Giovanni Pernice, 34, subjected her to verbal abuse during practice sessions and made an inappropriate sexual gesture backstage. This week saw Amanda receive an apology from BBC executives following an investigation into the Italian dancer's behaviour.

However, speaking about the incident for the first time since the review, Amanda hinted at potential legal moves during a chat on Newsnight with Victoria Derbyshire. Revealing her ongoing consultation, Amanda said she was "taking guidance from my lawyer on a day to day basis", as per her comments to Victoria Derbyshire regarding how she would be moving forward post-investigation.

She detailed: "There's a 30-page report that me and my lawyers are still digesting. There are still things in there that are unresolved." Further discussing the emotional impact, she recounted a poignant meeting with other former 'Strictly' stars previously partnered with Giovanni.

Amanda shared her early concerns about the acclaimed choreographer "three or four days" into the show, and described a gathering at her home with these contestants, confiding, "all cried" and "burst into tears". Their collective experience was validating yet troubling, as Amanda expressed: "We just wanted to make sure that we weren't on our own and thinking this had just happened to us."

She concluded with a stark revelation about the uniformity of their encounters: "Everyone I spoke to all said the same thing it wasn't pleasant and it wasn't what everyone else was going through in the other (rehearsal) rooms."

The actress emotionally opened up about her experience during last year's 'Strictly', admitting that she lost "all sense of reality" while preparing for performances with her dance partner she reflected: "It has been one of the worst years of my life. I have been through a lot. Women go through a lot." She sadly revealed the aftermath of her complaints, sharing: "I have had to deal with a myriad of horrible things that have continued to happen just for complaining."
