Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks is rumoured to be dating former Love Island star Maura Higgins and here are all the signs the reality TV duo are in a secret relationship

Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks is certainly no stranger to being linked to a number of women since his rise to fame on the back of appearing on TOWIE.

And now, as he embarks on his latest venture appearing on Strictly, the 36 year old star is said to be secretly dating former Love Island star Maura Higgins. The pair were recently seen kissing outside the Broadwick Soho Hotel last month, which cemented rumours the pair are dating - but as yet they are remaining tight-lipped.

As the rumour mill started to gather pace, Maura supported Pete while poking fun at the speculation, as she attended his Staying Relevant tour, wearing a t-shirt with them kissing emblazoned across the front. The words that accompanied the picture read: "We can't be friends."

Posing with her slender arm wrapped around his co-star Sam Thompson, she captioned the post of her wearing the t-shirt and said: "Hilarious night.... you smashed it @samthompson @stayingrelevantpodcast.' But this is not the first time Pete and Maura have been romantically tied together.

Last year, the reality TV duo were seen getting close at London's Grosvenor House. Their intimate embrace was captured on film last October, as they were seen in a cosy embrace as they took selfies on Maura's phone. Adding further weight to the claims, they were seen gazing into each other's eyes during what appeared to be a deep and meaningful conversation.

At the time, a source told The Sun: "Maura had been sitting on the terrace with friends for an hour before Pete arrived. After they’d sat there for a while Maura went in for a long kiss with Pete. It wasn’t the kind of kiss you’d give a friend, it was very passionate." They added: "Maura and Pete seemed to be really into each other and kept looking into each other’s eyes before kissing again a number of times. They were all over each other. They looked totally in love and weren’t trying to hide it from anyone.'

Another tell-tale sign that Pete has finally found love was that he recently revealed his strong desire to get married as he is now 36. Speaking to The Times, he previously said: "I’m nearly 36. I want to get married and have kids. I’ve been blessed with so many opportunities, but what’s the point if I can’t share them with anyone?" Adding more fuel to the romance rumour, Maura shared a message of support to Pete following the release of his memoir Never Enough: My Words Unfiltered. Maura simply wrote: "Proud of you."
