I tried £14 mascara on Amazon and it lengthens my lashes with no clumps

The new Babe Original mascara is packed with lash-lengthening ingredients - here's what Mirror beauty writer Tiffany Lo thought of it

As a beauty writer, I get to try a lot of new makeup launches and after finding out that Babe Original's new 4Real Mascara was trending on TikTok - with over 20 millions views, I knew I had to try it.

I'm already a fan of the brand's famous lash serum and love that its new mascara is also infused with nourishing ingredients to give the lashes a natural boost. The £14 makeup buy, which is available on Amazon, has made me ditched my No7 mascara.

What attracts me the most is the silicone wand as I found the curved wand can be difficult to navigate on my eyes and everyone's eye shape is different, Babe Originals' straight wand with micro-fine bristles works really well with my short lashes and grips on them nicely to give the lengthening effect I'm after.

When it comes to mascaras, I prefer lengthening formulas - they provide a more natural look and when applied subtly, people can't even tell I'm wearing anything on my lashes.

The mascara works to lengthen the lashes without weighing them down

The 4Real mascara contains Tricho Tensegrity boosters, which are extracted from olive stem cells, to create a buildable texture that does not weigh down lashes.

Apart from that, there is also three other rejuvenating ingredients such as apple stem cells, shea butter and caster seed oil to help deliver a "next level falsie effect".

The prickly spiked tip makes it easier for me to reach for inner corner lashes. Brushing horizontally across the lashes is equally effortless as it doesn't leave any clumps.

I've worn it for a whole day and it didn't smudge at all

Compared to others, the Babe Original 4Real mascara is probably the best budget eye makeup product I've tried. It also lasted for a whole day with no smudge. The only downside is that the mascara is not water-resistant, so make sure not to wear it on a rainy day.

You can buy the 4Real mascara on Amazon for £14 and for other options, L'Oreal's Panorama mascara also uses a similar cylindrical silicone wand, it's currently on offer at Boots for £9.74.

Benefit's They're Real mascara is one that I'd recommend if you have a bit more cash to spare, you can get either a mini size or a full size.
