Nobody Wants This is coming to Netflix on September 26 and the comedy-drama series is loosely based on the real life of its creator, Erin Foster. Joanne is a sex podcast host who admits to making poor choices when it comes to her relationships.

When she meets unconventional rabbi Noah, they form the most unlikely of pairings. While trying to navigate a new relationship, there is a lot that gets in the way of the couple.

Their different approaches to life and their sabotaging families cause the ultimate obstacle. The series is made up of 10 episodes which range from 20 to 30 minutes long.

Erin Foster opened up about the show to Tudum, saying: "This show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy. But I realized that being happy is way harder than being miserable (there’s nothing to complain about).

"So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard. Nobody Wants This, but we do, and that’s all that matters." Here's all you need to know about the cast.

Kristen Bell - Joanne

Joanne is played by Kristen Bell, a 44-year-old American actress who started her career on the stage.

She found fame after playing the title character in Veronica Mars and went on to star in Heroes and Gossip Girl.

Viewers may recognise her as the title character from Forgetting Sarah Marshall and as the voice of Princess Anna in the Disney hit, Frozen.

She is married to actor Dax Shepard and they have two daughters together.

Adam Brody - Noah

Noah is played by Adam Brody, a 44-year-old American actor whose breakout role was as Seth Cohen on the Fox television series The O.C.

He starred in and produced the television series StartUp and has also been seen in Shazam! and Fleishman Is in Trouble.

Before his career began, he attended community college at MiraCosta College for one year, dropping out at the age of 19, before moving to Hollywood to become an actor.

He is married to actress Leighton Meester and they have a son and daughter together.

Justine Lupe - Morgan

Justine Lupe plays Joanne's sister Morgan. The 35-year-old American actress is known for playing Willa Ferreyra in Succession.

Viewers may have also seen her in Cristela, Mr Mercedes and The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.

Her grandmother, Kay Schomp, has a theatre named after her at the Denver School of the Arts.

Timothy Simons - Sasha

Sasha is Noah's brother and he is played by Timothy Simons, a 46-year-old American actor and comedian.

He is best known for playing Jonah Ryan in the HBO series, Veep. Viewers may have also seen him in The Interview and The Boss.

The star is married to Annie Simons and they have two children together.

Jackie Tohn - Esther

Esther is Sasha's wife and she is played by Jackie Tohn, an American actress and musician.

She is known for playing MelRose in Netflix's GLOW and Courtenay Fortney in the Amazon series The Boys.

She took part in season eight of American Idol, making it through to the semi-finals.

Emily Arlook - Rebecca

Rebecca is Noah's ex-girlfriend and she is played by Emily Arlook, a 34-year-old American actress.

She is known for her roles in Grown-ish, Big Time Adolescence and You People.

Her father, Richard Arlook, is a talent manager and film producer.

She is engaged to actor Will McCormack and they have two children together.

Shiloh Bearman - Miriam

Miriam is Sasha's daughter and she is played by Shiloh Bearman, a child actress who has starred in Home Economics as Gretchen.

The rest of the cast includes Michael Hitchcock as Henry, Paul Ben-Victor as Ilan, Sherry Cola as Ashley, Stephanie Faracy as Lynn and Tovah Feldshuh as Bina.
