Richmond Park in South London has been crowned the most stunning autumnal spot in the UK, according to photography gurus at parrotprint.com.

The park outshone other picturesque locations, including those in the Lake District and The Cotswolds, to clinch the top spot.

The capital's largest Royal park offers visitors a chance to marvel at the changing leaves, with its ancient woodlands, undulating hills, and expansive grasslands teeming with wildlife.

For an unforgettable experience, visit between mid-October and mid-November to hear the stags' rutting calls and see the meadows and leaves transformed by a palette of golden hues.

As reports MyLondon, A ParrotPrint.com spokesperson commented: "Depending on how long the summer sunshine stays around for, the colours begin to change and leaves start falling from the end of September."

They added that with the official end of summer on Sunday, September 22, the prime time for vibrant colours and perfect photo opportunities spans from mid-October to mid-November.
