Strictly Come Dancing's Montell Douglas has spilled the beans on the most challenging aspect of her time on the dance floor.

Last week, Montell and her pro partner Johannes Radebe performed a Tango to 'One Night Only', leaving fans worried over fears the duo might be dancing their final steps soon. But it's not the competition that's got Montell in a twist - it's the high heels!

The star confessed that getting used to dancing in them is no walk in the park. She said: "It's really tricky because I'm just not used to it. You have to think choreography, dance and perform, where literally I'm holding on with my toes! I'm used to trainers, I live in them for the whole of my life. It's just finding the balance on these size 10 boots."

Viewers were on edge last weekend, fretting that Montell and Johannes might fall victim to a fresh 'curse'. After they opened the show, one fan tweeted their concern: "#strictly I love Montell and Johannes but I am worried for them tonight."

Another supporter shared their anxiety, saying: "Had to give all three of my votes to Montell and Johannes though! Feel so nervous for them as I felt they were slightly undermarked and also have the disadvantage of going first! #Strictly."

Toyah and Neil were the ones to hang up their dancing shoes this weekend, but with another couple on the chopping block for the upcoming show, the question on everyone's lips is whether the dreaded 'curse' will claim another victim. All the stars have been hard at work mastering a new dance routine, hoping to dazzle and remain in the contest, reports Birmingham Live.

Montell has opened up about her battle with the stilettos, sharing the "pain" she endures with every step on the dance floor.

Speaking to The Mirror, she confessed: "The hardest thing is not the routine - it's the shoes! It's doing it in a shoe that wants to break your foot. The shoe is designed to give you pain, which she does very well actually.

"Especially because I'm just not used to it. I'm living in high heels. It's like a night out where you have to keep your heels on all night. That's what it feels like."

Strictly: It Takes Two airs at 6.30pm on weekdays on BBC Two.
