Giovanni Pernice faces another major blow after Strictly Come Dancing allegations

Giovanni Pernice has been dealt another major blow after his lucrative side hustle appears to have completely vanished from the market with the website also going down

Giovanni Pernice has been hit with another devastating blow.

The professional dancer was sacked by Strictly Come Dancing following allegations made against him by Amanda Abbington. The Sherlock star claims she was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after working with Giovanni on the show, which she quit just weeks into the series. Giovanni has strenuously denied all allegations made against him and claims that the ongoing BBC investigation into the claims will help clear his name.

But the 34-year-old is now facing another career blow surrounding his unisex fragrance, Vita. The perfume has now left the market with the official website, hosted by Shopify reading: "Sorry, this store is currently unavailable." The official Instagram account used to promote the scent has also been deleted from the Meta platform.

Meanwhile, official documents filed to Companies House for GP Vita Ltd had four directors when it was launched on June 6, 2023. But today, only one director, Giovanni remains active with the company, after two resigned earlier this month, and one also terminated their appointment on December 15, 2023.

The devastating blow comes after it emerged that Giovanni had signed up for the Italian version of Strictly Come Dancing. Despite the allegations he's facing from Amanda, sources close to Giovanni insist he's having a "great" time on the Italian version. His pal told the Daily Mail: "He is so excited that he can keep on dancing and what makes it all the more lovely is that it will be in his home country. [The past few months have been] absolutely horrendous for Gio. He has been stuck in limbo. This will be a lovely boost for him."

He is said to be hopeful that he and his celebrity partner Bianca Guaccero will dance all the way to the final of Ballando con le Stelle (Dancing With The Stars). Sources claimed the dancer and Bianca want to do their best and are "getting along great in training." A friend said: "Gio is so pleased that he has been able to get back to doing his thing, it's testament to his strength of character. He could have buckled at any moment but he carried on and now he really wants to win."

Bianca has also expressed her excitement after being partnered with Giovanni and hinted that she would be up for visiting London with Giovanni in the near future. He recently took to social media, sharing a snap of himself and Bianca in rehearsals for the competition and they appear to be great friends. Captioning his upload, he wrote: "Sweaty but... happy, loaded, willing to give their best and ready to make you have fun and dream! September 28 is getting closer. Are you ready to support us?"

Meanwhile, BBC boss Tim Davie has said the Strictly Come Dancing investigation outcome is "pretty close" but he did not commit to publishing the overall findings. It was expected that an outcome would be reached by the time that the 2024 series of the dancing show began, but this did not happen.
