BBC Strictly Come Dancing Tasha Ghouri's famous ex makes devastating confession about their love

Strictly Come Dancing’s Tasha Ghouri is in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend Andrew Le Page who she met on love Island but her famous ex regrets letting her go

Hindsight is a wonderful thing - unless you’re a regretful ex - like Strictly Tasha Ghouri ’s former boyfriend who believes she is "the one that got away".

Reality TV star Tasha Ghouri is currently wowing the public and judges in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing contest. The 26-year-old and professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec have topped the leaderboard with their performances and received the first nine of the series with a Viennese Waltz to Misty Blue by Dorothy Moore which reduced her dad, who was in the audience, to tears.

Someone who may also be watching on is her ex boyfriend, who has witnessed his former love’s rise to fame from afar since they split. Tasha, 26, who was born deaf and has a cochlear implant, is in a long-term relationship with current boyfriend Andrew Le Page, after they met on ITV ’s Love Island in 2022.

The couple seem to be pretty serious and hope to marry in the future. They’ve recently bought a property together which they plan to renovate. But before they met, they were both enjoying the world of dating and while on Love Island, Tasha revealed that she’d had two previous relationships, the longest of which was for five months.

Her ex in question turned out to be famous in his own right. He was YouTuber Robert Van Tromp, who was also a contestant on Netflix dating show Too Hot to Handle. Robert, who says he is now a dating coach, was in a relationship with Christina Carmela after the pair met on the show. They split in September 2021, a month before he hooked up with Tasha via an app. Their fling ended three months before she appeared on Love Island and apparently left her devastated.

The tables were turned though when Robert was forced to look on as his ex shot to fame. Apparently he was dismayed when he saw Tasha on Love Island because he realised he’d made a huge mistake ending things with her. A source told MailOnline at the time: "Robert is gutted after seeing Tasha on Love Island. She ticks all his boxes and he had hoped to reconnect with her after regretting their breakup. Tasha is the one that got away and he believes he let a gem go, watching her on the show this summer won't be easy for him."

Robert isn’t Tasha’s only famous ex though. She also dated former Strictly professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. Before appearing on Love Island, she worked as a professional dancer and according to an insider, Tasha ended up meeting Giovanni in January 2022, a month after he won Strictly with Rose Ayling-Ellis.

It seems that Tasha and Andrew are unfazed by the Strictly curse as they are wholly committed to each other. She told The Sun: "Me and Andrew trust each other 100 percent. It’s not a make-or-break for us. We’re going to breeze through this because we’re going to marry each other one day, you know? It doesn’t bother us at all. We didn’t have a discussion about ‘the Strictly curse’ because we trust each other. It doesn’t play on our mind."
