The Scottish hunk first stepped into the boots of the dashing Highlander in 2014, starring opposite Caitriona Balfe who plays his on-screen love interest Claire Randall.
Following their epic time-travelling escapades around the world, the pair made their way back to Scotland in the gripping midseason finale last year.
Eager Outlander enthusiasts are now counting down the weeks until season seven, part two, premieres on Starz and MGM+ via Prime Video.
As the cast wrapped up filming for the eighth and final season, they've been taking to Instagram to share fond memories from the series, reports the Daily Record.
Heughan recently posted a side-by-side comparison of himself from a decade ago next to the Ghostbusters' famed Ecto-1 vehicle and a current photo beside the same iconic car.
His caption read: "10 years apart....
"2014 weeks before beginning Outlander S1. 2024 week after Outlander S8 wrap.
"@sonypictures Studios Who ya gonna call..."
The star's 4.3 million followers couldn't contain their excitement in the comments section, with one admirer saying: "You are like wine, the older you are, the better you get!"
Another chimed in: "Love the nostalgia! Just crazy it's been 10 years. So sad to see it come to an end, but thankful to be able to watch it over and over."
A third fan gushed, "The circle has come full turn," adding, "You've taken us on an incredible journey. You are an extraordinary artist. I wish you all the best."
Another chimed in with disbelief: "10 years apart...?!? Never... I can't see any difference at all."
