Stacey Solomon has bagged a brand new reality show with the BBC, according to reports.

The X Factor star, 35, who recently won a National Television Award for her series Sort Your Life Out, is said to have impressed bosses at the corporation so much, they've given her her own show.

The mum-of-five, 35, is set to open the doors to Pickle Cottage and her beloved brood in a Kardashian-style TV series, which has already started filming.

Escape to Pickle Cottage will feature Stacey, her husband, Joe, 42, and the six kids they share. Seen smiling with her children in photos taken on Thursday, Stacey looked excited to get filming underway as she enjoyed a day out at a safari park with a film crew.

Sitting in the back of a jeep at Port Lympne animal reserve, the Solomon-Swashes met rhinos, a giraffe and cheetahs, according to the Mail, where the pictures are published.

Along with Stacey and Joe, who married in 2022, their children Zach, 16, Harry, 16, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, two, and Belle, 20 months, will also be making appearances on the show.

Speaking after the family were spotted in the safari park, a source said: "The Solomon/Swash family love animals and that will be a central part of their show when it airs. There seemed nowhere better to go to film a day out than Port Lympne. The kids looked like they were loving their day out.

"It is exactly the lovely kind of content which they will be putting on Escape to Pickle Cottage which is hoped to become a huge reality show, similar to the Kardashians in the US. It will feature Stacey and Joe's big blended family. There are really high hopes for the show."

Insiders at the BBC told the outlet that bosses see Stacey as their "new golden girl" due to her "relatability". She also has a huge following, particularly with young viewers which the corporation is so keen to attract.

The news comes after it was reported Stacey has quit one of her huge TV roles to spend more time with her family. After just one series, the Dagenham-born star has allegedly hung up her helmet on Channel 4's Renovation Rescue.

Explaining her departure from the show, a source told The Sun: "Stacey had a great time making Renovation Rescue but the fact she isn’t doing a second series allows her to focus on her projects with the Beeb."

The Mirror has contacted Stacey's rep for comment on this story.
