Love Island's George Fensom embroiled in major feud at top 'influencer event'

A Love Island star found himself in a brawl with a social media influencer.

On Thursday, reality stars and influencers attended an event hosted by the clothing brand White Fox in London. Some of the biggest names in reality appeared to put a smile on their face as they posed for photographers and mingled with one another but two appeared to come to blows.

Former star George Fensom, 26, entered the villa in 2023 as one of the original Islanders. However, he was sent home just five days later after being dumped during the recoupling. Since then, the Bedford-born influencer has carved out a name for himself in the boxing industry and teased fans that his "comeback is on".

But during the White Fox event, George appeared to clash with social media star Sam Goatlifters during a tense encounter. In a video seen by the Mirror, George can be seen placing his hand on Sam's chest, before the influencer pushes George back as George appears to make a gesture with his hands. The pair continue to engage in a heated discussion before Sam eventually laughs and walks away from Fensom.

Sam claims that George gave off a 'cold response' when he initially approached him( Image: Instagram/ @sam_goatlifters)

Recalling the encounter, Sam said: "I go over to him as it's a networking event and I go 'Nice to meet you mate,' just being friendly and it was such a cold response, he was like 'Yeah whatever,' the ego on him from the get-go was just absolutely mental. I instantly walked off and went 'Well that was weird', I was just chilling with James, my girlfriend, his girlfriend at the time and we were all in a group having a good time and every time I turned to my left, I just see George bogging me out for absolutely no reason, nothing went on at that point." He added that he approached George and suggested he "dropped his ego".

"He got a bit annoyed, we went back and forth and I went off and enjoyed the rest of my night and nothing of it," Sam added. He later said that George told him he "wouldn't stand a chance in a ring" with him. Elsewhere, George said that he was approached by Sam who was "chatting s**t" in his ear.

George claims that Sam told him he was "f***ing s**t" adding: "you wouldn't do s**t in Misfits [Boxing] against me," during their apparent heated discussion before branding him a "goof". Prior to entering the Love Island villa, George told the Mirror he was "not interested" in what his fellow singletons wanted to do after their time on the show.

He also addressed controversy after a string of previous tweets including homophobic slurs had resurfaced and claims from an ex-girlfriend that he had "cheated" and would "constantly lie to others". Acknowledging this, George told us: "I was really naive and really young to think that was the right thing to say. It's one of them situations, it doesn't show the man that I am today in any way, shape or form and that's pretty much it."

The Mirror has approached both Sam and George for comment.
