Michael Mosley's bereaved wife expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming "outpouring" of affection following her husband's passing, as she graciously received a posthumous accolade for his BBC Radio 4 podcast 'Just One Thing'.

Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley delivered a moving tribute as her late husband was celebrated with entrance into the British Podcast Awards' Hall of Fame in London recently. Overwhelmed by emotion, she said: "I wish more than anything that Michael was here himself to be collecting this award."

"Michael knew that Just One Thing had really connected with people, he loved the simplicity of the format and being able to genuinely help people. The outpouring to me and my family in the last three months has shown us that it wasn't just the podcast they loved, it was Michael too."

The dearly missed celebrity, renowned for making the 5:2 diet mainstream, cherished the moments spent recording the series from what Dr. Mosley referred to as their "cupboard". She reminisced: "He spent many happy hours recording in our cupboard, making Just One Thing. My role was to supply coffee and sound effects."

The 'One Show' favourite sadly passed away aged 67 this past June on the Greek island Symi. Tragically, he disappeared during a hike in extreme heat while vacationing with his life partner. She implored: "Life can be shorter than you ever imagine, and so if there's one thing you do today, hug your loved ones, tell them they are loved, don't ever take time for granted."

The BBC paid homage to Mosley's legacy with 'Just One Thing Day' in July. In a touching tribute across the BBC's spectrum of radio and TV, everyone took part in doing 'Just One Thing' to remember the beloved health podcast host. His widow vowed to carry on his legacy, expressing her gratitude towards her husband as she acknowledged his impact.

Once again, she offered heartfelt thanks to the public for the overwhelming support following her husbands passing. On Instagram, Clare shared: "Thank you all for your wonderfully supportive messages. The outpouring of love from so many people has meant a huge amount to me and my family."

She added, "I'm going to be quiet for a while. I'm sure you will understand. But I will be back here soon. I very much want to continue with the work that gave Michael and myself so much joy and such a sense of purpose." Gratefully, she noted, "Once more thank you so much for respecting my family's privacy so kindly."

Reflecting on her husband's character, she said, "Michael was an amazing man. Thank you for seeing that too. We miss him so much."
