Louis Tomlinson's pregnant sister Lottie revealed the shock news she received during her 16-week scan.

The little sister of One Direction singer Louis and her fiancé Lewis Burton, the ex-boyfriend of the late Love Island presenter Caroline Flack, announced the exciting news of her pregnancy to fans in July this year. It came less than two years after they welcomed their first child, Lucky.

Lottie revealed she learned from her sister Phoebe about at-home gender test kits and decided to order one to try it out. Phoebe sent off her blood sample and was told she was having a boy. After having a gender reveal party, doctors told her at her 20-week scan that she was actually having a girl.

Despite the mistake, Lottie believed there would be a low percentage of it happening to her if she were to order the kit. When she fell pregnant, she did the test - which claims to be 99 per cent accurate - and was told she would be having a baby boy. Lo and behold, her 16-week scan had doctors reveal to her she was actually having a girl.

Speaking on Daily Mail's The Life of Bryony podcast, Lottie revealed: "I literally sterilised the area, scrubbed my hands, followed all the steps, so I thought there's no way this is going to be wrong. Comes back as a boy. So I was like, 'Oh, I'm having two boys'. Got to my 12-week scan and obviously in the back of my head I had that kind of doubt because of what happened to Pheebs.

"So I said to the lady that was scanning me, I said, 'We've had a blood test, like we know the gender, but can you just confirm if you can tell at this stage?' And she went, 'I can guess about 80 percent accuracy at this stage, but it's a girl.' I was like, 'What? Oh my god.' And then 80 percent you're still thinking like, is it a girl? Is it a boy?"

Lottie continued: "And I was like, right, I just, I need to find out. So I waited till 16 weeks, had the scan, girl. On the website, it says 99 percent accuracy." Lottie and Lewis announced the pregnancy by sharing a video of themselves posing on a beach with their son Lucky, with Lottie's growing baby bump on display as her toddler rushed to kiss her pregnant belly.

The delighted parents captioned the joint post at the time: "our little family is growing we feel so excited and blessed that another beautiful baby is joining us in Jan 2025."
