Emmerdale's Tom King caught out after sinister Belle threat as scene signals downfall

Emmerdale's Tom King could finally face his comeuppance after a dark taunt towards Belle Dingle, as he was spotted destroying evidence by another character on the ITV soap

Emmerdale viewers saw one character witness something incriminating involving villain Tom King on Monday night.

Now the villain's downfall could be sealed, with fans hoping the character in question will expose Tom. Tom found his missing iPad at Moira Dingle's home on Monday, after her young son Isaac Dingle had taken it there.

He'd borrowed it from his pal Carl Holliday who is Tom's young cousin. They'd taken it to play video games, unaware of the significance of the device and its link to Tom's abuse towards his wife Belle Dingle.

On the iPad is footage from where he secretly recorded Belle in her home. There's also evidence that could back up the fact he was abusive and was stalking her.

Belle needs this evidence after she reported Tom to the police for domestic abuse, while confessing to attacking him with an axe. The police are keen to find the iPad unaware Tom now has it, having successfully retrieved it from Moira's house when she was out.

Moira had actually seen the footage but forgot about it and the iPad after suffering a seizure, following her brain tumour diagnosis. Tom is convinced he's won and Belle will lose in court.

He was shown taunting her about this on Monday, believing that now he had the iPad she had no evidence against him. He teased that she would not be believed and would be sent to prison, trying to stop her from going ahead with her allegations.

But it seems Tom got way ahead of himself, as he then returned home and decided to destroy the iPad. Tom was shown smashing it to pieces outside the house, clearly trying to get rid of it before anyone else saw it.

Someone did see it though and they were watching on as he smashed it to pieces - that person being young Carl. So with a witness to his cover-up, will Carl spill the beans and tell someone what he saw?

Surely if anyone asks about the missing iPad, crucial to the police's investigation, Carl will recall what happened? So might this be the moment the police realise Tom doesn't want anyone to see its contents?

There's also the fact that if the iPad remerges all smashed up, there could be a way for the content stored on there to be uncovered. So might Tom's efforts to conceal his crimes come back to haunt him?
