Lauryn Goodman takes new swipe at Kyle Walker after 'taking a step back'

Lauryn admits she dealt with a tough past few years as she opened up about her history with footballer Kyle Walker and Celebs Go Dating experience

Reality TV star Lauryn Goodman has taken a fresh swipe at Kyle Walker, tearfully opening up about her estranged relationship with the football star.

The 34-year-old Manchester City player, who fathered Lauryn's two children, has once again been a topic of conversation as the 33-year-old influencer spoke about her time on Celebs Go Dating. In a candid admission, Lauryn opened up about how her past with the star had led her "light to be dimmed" and has forced her to take a step back from the limelight to recover from the heartbreak and drama.

It hasn't been the first time Lauryn has taken aim at Kyle after previously admitting that she would appreciate meeting a normal, nice chap for a change" when she was introduced on the show. She took part in the E4 series to find the man of her dreams, but Lauryn admits the process had been tough but it has helped her realise things about herself. She reveals how her confidence is still shaken and that she’s still healing from the past drama, despite being given advice and guidance from the show's experts.

Speaking in a new interview following her Celebs Go Dating stint, Lauryn told The Sun newspaper: "I am at a point where I took a step back and had a look at the situation and thought: 'Wow, my confidence has really been knocked here.'

Adding: "And I am actually not as comfortable in these environments as I thought I would be. I used to be a very confident and outspoken loud person, but I have said to the agents: 'I have felt like my light has dimmed with everything I have been through in my private life. When you feel like someone is constantly bringing you down it makes you feel not great about yourself...then it is hard to pull yourself back up. In that environment I became quite emotional, for me... I am finding some of the process hard and quite tough."

Earlier this year, Kyle made headlines after he shared a grovelling apology to his wife Annie Kilner after he fathered a second child with the model. Walker already had three children with Kilner when in 2020 Goodman gave birth to their son. Annie and Kyle welcomed their fourth child earlier this year.

The England international told The Sun newspaper the time had come to “own up” to his mistakes. Speaking to the news outlet at the time, Kyle admitted: “What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I’ve tried to ask her but there’s pain and hurt. The only person to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I’m aware of and I’ve made stupid choices. But I need to own up to my mistakes — I owe it to everyone."
