The Prince and Princess of Wales are known for keeping things as 'normal' as possible for their three children when it comes to them growing up - and it's no different when it comes to Halloween.

While thousands of children are expected to head out trick-or-treating in their neighbourhoods on October 31, three people likely to take part are Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

In 2023, Kate and William's old neighbour Jay Rutland—husband of Tamara Ecclestone—revealed that Kate went trick-or-treating in their Kensington neighbourhood.

"Kate knocked on our door in London with their kids on Halloween. 'Trick or Treating'. Very friendly and down-to-earth," Jay revealed at the time.

Pictures published in Hello! magazine showed the royal mum standing at a neighbour's gate with her children while participating in the traditional Halloween activity.

In 2019, Kate was famously spotted browsing Halloween costumes with George and Charlotte at the Harwick branch of Sainsbury's in Kings Lynn - close to their Amner Hall Norfolk home.

Fellow shopper Kathy Whittaker told The Mirror at the time: "She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits but her bodyguard was kind of watching people with phones and telling them no pictures. I managed to get the photo of her at the self-service checkout.

"I didn't see what she actually bought. The lady that told me she was there had children with her and she said Kate was asking her children what they were going to be for Halloween. I think she bought some Halloween bits for her kids but I don't know what."

A palace insider previously told PEOPLE that Prince William loves the “normal” routine Princess Kate has in place for their kids, which stems from a larger philosophy to make their childhoods as normal as possible.

"Those children look pretty happy with life," the insider said. "A lot of it is the stabilizing normality Kate brings — and that's how she grew up. William absolutely loves it."

It looks like Kate gets her love of the spooky season from her mother, Carole Middleton, who called Halloween her "Autumn highlight" in a newsletter for her former business, Party Pieces.

She wrote: "I can still remember the fun and frights from my own childhood; the chance to dress up, decorate pumpkins and go trick-or-treating!

"I've even grown my own pumpkins this year, so I'm looking forward to decorating those with my loved ones."

Now that the Wales family has relocated to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, they might have to travel a bit further afield to go trick-or-treating this year, as their home is located on expansive private grounds.
