BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans spot JB Gill's sweet message to Amy Dowden as she responds to news

Strictly Come Dancing fans were quick to spot JB GIll's message to Amy Dowden as he found out they were through to another week of the competition with his stand-in partner.

The JLS star was confirmed to have made it through to week eight of the BBC One dance contest during the latest results show on Sunday night (November 3) alongside professional dancer Lauren Oakley.

JB had faced a tricky week of training ahead of the latest live show, which took place on Saturday night (November 2) as not only was he learning a new routine but he also had a new partner after Amy Dowden fell ill following the previous live show and took time off to rest.

Lauren, who does not have a celebrity pairing on this year's series of the hit dance competition, instead stepped in to rehearse with JB before joining him to perform the live couple's choice routine to a Bruno Mars medley during Strictly's first-ever 'Icons Week'.

Amy joined them live in the studio and was later seen fighting tears while praising JB and Lauren's performance, which saw the singer and presenter bag his first 10s of the series, with the judges awarding him and Lauren 39 out of a possible 40 points.

It was then during the results show that JB stood with Lauren and they were told they had made it through to week eight of the 2024 series, with Amy expected to be back alongside her celebrity dance partner.

And Strictly fans quickly spotted the moment JB acknowledged Amy as they escaped the red light of doom. @dowdensjowita said: "'for you amy' #strictly," alongside a clip of JB mothing the message to the camera. Amy also reshared a post to her Instagram Story in which a fan captured the moment.

Alongside it she said: "That moment when @jbgill said to the camera 'for you Amy'. Yes I'm crying. The most genuine, kind, humble, TALENTED SOUL! Thank you partner! This was a week we had been planning and was so excited about! I remember us getting the music edit through at the premier and us listening to it both with the biggest smile ever."

She went on: "I'm so happy and proud it all came together for you, especially after a tough week. What a star and big thanks to @lizzie.gough for the perfect routine, @ginaamibirch our producer! @laurenmayoakley I'll keep saying it, forever grateful to you!"
