Giovanni Pernice makes 'breaking news' announcement with Strictly Come Dancing star and says 'we're back'

by · Manchester Evening News

Giovanni Pernice shared 'breaking news' with fans as he confirmed he was reuniting with one of his friends and former Strictly Come Dancing co-stars.

The 34-year-old spent several years as a professional dancer on the hit BBC One dance contest. However, earlier this year, an investigation was launched by the BBC following allegations made about the dancer by former celebrity dance partner Amanda Abbington.

Earlier this month, months after starting its investigation, the BBC released its findings and confirmed it had "upheld some, but not all" of Amanda's complaints and issued her an apology.

In a written statement, a spokesperson for Giovanni said at the time: "We are pleased that this six-month review has not found any evidence of threatening or abusive behaviour by Giovanni. Giovanni is relieved that the overwhelming majority of allegations out to the BBC have not been upheld and looks forward to continuing his work on Dancing With The Stars in Italy this season."

Now, Giovanni is seemingly moving on from the scandal and on Wednesday (October 9) announced his new 2025 dancing tour Together Again with his close pal Anton Du Beke.

Sharing a poster for the upcoming show on Instagram, the Italian dancer said: "Giovanni said in his post: 'BREAKING NEWS! If you were wondering now is confirmed !!the double act is back on the road!
