BBC Strictly Come Dancing announces new star as he says he's 'really excited'

Strictly Come Dancing has announced it has a new star joining the team. The dance show's spin-off It Takes Two recently returned to BBC2 following the return of the hit competition for its 20th anniversary year.

The programme, which airs weeknights, is co-hosted by Janette Manrara and Fleur East and brings viewers all the behind-the-scenes glamour and gossip from the BBC One dance contest.

And it's now been confirmed on Friday (October 4) that they have a new member of the team joining them. As exclusively revealed on Strictly: It Takes Two, Niall Gray will take on the exciting role of roving behind-the-scenes reporter, offering fans a unique and entertaining glimpse into Strictly's backstage moments.

Niall is a national radio host on Capital FM and a social media influencer, boasting over half a million TikTok followers, 24 million likes, and more than 60,000 Instagram followers.

Joining studio hosts Janette and Fleur in the It Takes Two family, Niall will head to the training rooms as well as being backstage at Elstree Studios to bring viewers all the gossip from our Strictly couples throughout the series.

He will also uncover exclusive reveals and tricks of the trade from the crew, giving It Takes Two viewers an all-access pass to everything Strictly.

Niall said of his new gig: "I'm really excited to be the backstage reporter for It Takes Two! Getting up close with all the behind-the-scenes action - it’s going to be great fun. As a Strictly fan I cannot wait to bring all the backstage gossip to the viewers!"
