BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Sarah Hadland scolds 'show respect' after Vito Coppola blunder
by Jessica Sansome · Manchester Evening NewsSarah Hadland jokingly scolded Vito Coppola and told him to 'show respect' after his live TV blunder. The Strictly Come Dancing pair were the latest couple to appear on spin-off show It Takes Two to chat about their latest performance.
Actress Sarah and professional dancer made it through to week eight of the BBC One dance contest after they were seen dancing a Cha Cha Cha to Madonna's 1989 track, Like a Prayer, in Strictly's first-ever 'Icons Week'.
Motsi Mabuse was quick to praise Sarah and Vito for their 'iconic' performance, in which Sarah channelled the 'Queen of Pop' in a short blonde wig and her famous cone bra, while Shirley Ballas pointed out some 'gorgeous' details before saying the performance needed "fluidity and flexibility".

Anton Du Beke told them that he was "speechless". He added: "I’m blown away, it was so brilliant, love your legs, best dance tonight," before Craig Revel Horwood concluded that the "cape went better with you than Madonna," before saying Vito had worked Sarah hard to achieve their "powerhouse performance" which saw them bag 37 out of 40 points, including a 10 from Anton.
It was later confirmed that Sarah and Vito had been giving the backing of the public and had made it through to week eight of the popular dance programme, which will take place live this Saturday night (November 8).
It's now been revealed that Sarah and Vito will be performing an American Smooth to Proud by Heather Small, which fans of Miranda star Sarah will know is synonymous with her sitcom character, created by her friend and co-star Miranda Hart.
Explaining where her character Stevie's love of Heather and the song come from, Sarah told It Takes Two host Fleur East: "When I first met Miranda and auditioned to be on the show, they sent us away for a couple of days with a camcorder to build a bit of a rapport. I was just wandering around and, as I do, suddenly sang [the chorus]. She wrote it down and said ‘we should make it a thing’. That’s how it began," before she added that she had "always loved" the song.

To help Sarah and Vito get in the mood, she presented them with pictures of Heather Small's face on sticks. "This is the positive energy we need," Sarah said but as they joyously smiled and danced with them in their hands, Vito made a blunder.
He said: "We can bring this into the changing room," before quickly correcting himself to say 'training room'. Sarah then commented: "Training room! We're not taking Heather into the changing rooms," as Vito giggled at his mistake. His dance partner then jokingly added: "Show some respect to Heather, please!"
As Vito put his head in his hands, Sarah then turned Heather's printed-out face towards hers and said: "Heather, I'd never make you do that!" before Fleur got them to move on by asking them about the theme of the dance.
