Burger brand Archie's is getting ready to open its brand new roller rink inside Trafford Palazzo.

In the first 'leisure concept' for the business, Archie's Atomic will match the iconic pink branding and features a giant 5,000 square foot rink at the heart of the former Next Home store.

We were invited to take a look around the venue this week, which it's hoped will be opening around the beginning of November, with visitors of all ages and skill level able to hire skates from the counter, or take their own.

Archie’s Atomic, which is located next to NERF Action Xperience and facing Sea Life Manchester, has invested £3 million into the site, which occupies a whopping 25,000 sq ft space.

The venue will also feature an arcade area with an immersive games box, private party rooms, DJ decks, a photo booth, an Archie’s diner and Archie’s milkshake bar. All creating what bosses have described as 'a unique entertainment spot for all ages to enjoy'.

The beloved family-owned burger joint is famous for its 'shakes, ridiculously indulgent waffles, and fresh handmade smashed star burgers', and already has restaurants inside Trafford Palazzo and across the bridge at The Trafford Centre.

Skaters will be able to enjoy the full Archie’s menu at the new attraction too, where special VIP food and drink packages will also be available for purchase in the private party rooms.

Phil Holt, project manager at Archie’s, said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring Archie’s Atomic to Trafford Palazzo. This venue will be unlike anything seen before in the UK.

"Combining our iconic food and décor with a retro roller disco feel, the new venue will be complete with huge LEDs, screens, state of the art arcade games and a vibrant atmosphere. We believe this will take the Archie’s brand to the next level and provide an unforgettable experience for our guests.”

Mark Whittaker, managing director of Peel Retail and Leisure, added: “Archie's has been a great success at Trafford Palazzo, and we have no doubt this fantastic debut concept is going to be received very positively. When you put it alongside the great line-up of experience-led operators such as King Pins, Legoland, and Sea Life, you’ve got everything you need for a fun and enjoyable day out at Trafford Palazzo.”
