BBC Strictly Come Dancing Nick Knowles' eight-word message as he's forced to quit next live show

Nick Knowles has spoken out after it was confirmed he won't be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. The DIY SOS star has been forced to pull out of Saturday night's (October 5) live show due to injury.

Last week, the DIY SOS star's future in the BBC One dance contest was left hanging in the balance after he suffered an injury the day after performing alongside professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk for the first time live on the programme, which kicked off earlier this month.

After undergoing various scans and assessments on his shoulder, it was agreed that he was fit to perform. However, Nick's now suffered another injury blow but this time, he wont be able to perform in week three of Strictly 2024, which is also the Movie Week special.

A Strictly Come Dancing spokesperson said on Friday (October 4) "Unfortunately, Nick Knowles sustained an injury during rehearsals and as a result, will not dance this weekend.

"As per the rules of the competition, Nick and Luba will receive a bye through to next week when he is hopefully able to dance again. Everyone at Strictly Come Dancing wishes Nick a speedy recovery."

As Strictly issued that statement on its social media channels, Nick reshared the post on X, formerly known as Twitter and said: "I’m absolutely gutted and feeling very very sad."

His fans and followers were quick to flood him with support. @Richard48535122 said: "No way!!
