She was voted out following week seven of the 2024 series after landing in the dreaded dance-off on Sunday night (November 3) alongside professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin.

After the first ever 'Icons Week' which took place on Saturday night (November 2) in which the remaining couples performed to a song by a legendary singer or band, the results show was all about the latest dreaded dance-off and facing Sam and Nikita was Gladiator Montell Douglas and her dance partner Johannes Radebe.

Both couples had to reprise their icon-themed routines again, with Sam and Nikita dancing an American smooth to Taylor Swift’s Love Story while Montell and Johannes re-performed their waltz to I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

After reperforming their routines, all four judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke - all agreed unanimously to save Montell and Johannes, therefore making Sam and Nikita the sixth couple to exit the competition.

Sam later took to social media and issued a lengthy message in which she spoke about Nikita and her time in the show as a whole. "Firstly, I want to thank my teammate, Nikita," she began. "As the weeks ticked on I got to know you on a deeper level and the way I can sum you up to people who perhaps don't know you is to say that you have a really good heart.

"Of course, there is also your dedication to your craft and your professionalism which is something I respect so much. As a partnership, we agreed to shoot for the moon and if we missed, we might land amongst the stars."

Sam went on to thank thank "everyone associated with the show" which she said was "tougher than she imagined". But she said she "cannot be too sad about leaving" as she gave it "everything I had. I feel short and that's OK, because there is nothing more I could have done".

But fans were flocking to social media after they spotted Sam making her exiting moment one to remember as when she took to the floor with Nikita for one last time, she was seen getting down onto the ballroom floor and gave her best high kick from a laying position while staring directly at the camera.

Sharing a screengrab of the moment on X, @Ariadne_Reviews said; "Nothing but respect for MY ICON of Icons Week. #scd #strictly," to which Sam herself responded with crying laughing emojis and said: "I saw the opportunity and took it."

She also reposted another capture of the epic moment from @KDCunliffe who said: "The reaction of Tess, Claudia and Nikita #samquek #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing #nikita." @ElloTeenah, meanwhile, added: "SAM CAN DO THAT WITH HER LEG AND WE NEVER GOT TO SEE IT #Strictly."
